The Coalition trembled under the might of the monstrous cosmic trauma that the Aliens inflicted upon Sol, the cradle of mankind…just like, once upon a time, XXth Century Earth trembled under the might of the “Tsar”. It was ironic that a heritage of the Cold War, a relic of the XXth Century saved the peoples united under the Coalition’s flag from utter obliteration. Tantalized by their own destruction, the remnants of the Coalition were franticly cloistered Russians, Chinese, Arabs, Persians, Turks and other Coalition factions. Isolated in paranoid distrust of one another, in faraway bunkers at the edge of their known world, they opened their eyes to find utter darkness surrounding them.

It took nearly 100 years for the Coalition to be re-assembled. It took the Russians a lot of time to rebuild and start, once again, spearheading the Coalition. While the best prepared ones were the Chinese, their groups, which were much more isolated to the purpose of added survivability, were also more vulnerable, and thus perished one by one until they could no longer capitalize on their numbers. Probably the biggest blow of them all was felt by the Muslim Turks, Persians and Arabs. Left without a place to face during their prayers, desperation took hold of many groups but they found refuge in their Prophet’s Kaaba, a stone from the heavens that once fell on Earth, and that was now all around them, as a witness of human resilience and adaptability within the dark, cold, deserted and utterly empty space.

Once a nuclei of the Coalition was re-spawned, the search for resources and survivors took on a life of its own, growing into an almost perpetuum mobile that made exploration their only lifeline.

…Until 700 years later, when they met Alliance Scout Group “Antares”, which re-kindled the flame of hate between the remnants of a once mighty race.
