Product Note: You may buy a standard scanner in various places, Manhattan is a good first if you’re new in space. Established only 2 months after the new standard year, in complience with the ‘Free Spaces’ act to fight potential covert piracy. According to the act you are required to have a standard integrated radar device mounted on your ship, so as to send and receive information such as the gun and cargo manifest. Unfortunatly, this greatly affected the price and quantity for the demand of such items, and soon this item was made. This ‘permit’ replicates the uniform ‘receive’ function of scanners, however lacks any other features such as long-range targeting or cargo scanning, which leaves station docking procedures left to manual use via the contacts list. Of course the cost to produce this item is next to nothing. The Flying Permit was recently modified to have a short scan range of 1000 meters, at no effect of the 30 credit cost. lol, this thing is old.
