The n00b Token is an optional item for new players whom would rather not participate in Shadow of Fear’s Player-versus-Player (PvP) combat – starting out in Shadow of Fear is hard enough without other players trying to shoot at you as well. This token will also hire any local Police forces in the area (for more information on wingmen, please view the Wingmen License in the commodity trader).
While mounted, you will not be damaged by other players – however, you will be unable to damage other players either. This token can only be mounted on the two starting ships (the Starflier and Starblazer), and can not be re-purchased. These both ships does not have the same abilities like other fighters and heavy fighters of the same class.
Also, while mounted, you void your right to wear any faction tag – a “n00b (No PvP)” faction will automatically be set, and will override any other faction tag that you attempt to set on your character. There are, however, no other consequences, so rather or not you wish to use it is purely a matter of preference. Happy flying!
