Harvested Human Organs due to social and medical experiences in the early colonization of Sirius this trade was marked illicit very soon. Human Organs harvested for transplantations initiated a situation were nearly any organ in the body was able to be transplanted without rejection. Since any organ could now be replaced, one could use the organs to extend life indefinitely. Because of a now reduced death rate, the number of donors decreased. Thus, the supply of organs continually reduced. Compounding this problem, the high success rate of organ transplants tended to discourage research into other viable medical treatments. As a result, medical research was stagnated to a large extent, focusing primarily on improving transplants and little else. Repairing a failing organ (which could presumably fail again later) was considered secondary to the “complete” solution of replacing the failing organ. In present Harvested Human Organs (and whole People) are now shipped to different Alien Factions by soulless criminals. Aliens are using the human Material to improve their knowledge about human weaknesses. However, if the price is high enough, their will always be someone buyable for a dirty Job.
